Regulation
Regulation is the process in which a technician manipulates and adjusts the action mechanism on a piano. Regulation is beneficial both in improving basic function of a piano that is not playing properly as well as concert regulation to customize the touch of your piano to your preferences. The end goal of regulation is to optimize a pianos touch performance to ensure the player is not held back and can develop their technique without the piano limiting them due to poor touch response.
